Shredtoberfest, Little Elm

Some towns have Oktoberfest, but only Little Elm, Texas has Shredtoberfest. The annual event rings in the National Wakeboard Points Chase, a wakeboarding competition that challenges its participants to perform ollies and air tricks as they soar above the waters at Hydrous Wake Park. In between sips of craft beers and bites of bratwurst and polish sausage, attendees enjoy the festival's activities, which include raffles, games, and giveaways and opportunities to hop on paddleboards or jump around in bounce houses. Guests can even enter the kicker contest, showing off their airborne skills while clad in their finest lederhosen wetsuits.
