First founded by Italian immigrant Pasquale "Pat" Giammarco in 1978, Marco's Pizza boasts more than 900 stores in 35 states. In each of these stores, Marco's commits itself to using only never-frozen ingredients and fresh dough handmade every day.

It starts its menu with an array of pies based on the family sauce made by Pat and his dad, like the Pepperoni Magnifico with roma seasoning or the chicken florentine—Parmesan-garlic sauce and feta beneath slivers of red onion. Then it expands the menu to offer subs with Italian sausage and green peppers as well as cheesy bread loaded with meatballs, sausage, and, of course, the signature sauce that started it all.
