Wide and flat runway next to LAX. Beautiful medal and soft T shirt came with entry. My kids has a great time watching airplanes landing during the race. Friendly water station volunteers. Afterwards we went to the In and Out hamburger near by. Watched more airplanes landed. Love the experience. Will go back every year .
It was a really beautiful day. I didn't know about the Tommy Scott Memorial - I was just looking to run my first 10k. I am so happy I got to be apart of such a wonderful cause.
I did this run last year also. Had a good time. The route was easy, vendors were great and the after party was awesome.
Packet pick up was a breeze. It was a small race so not so many volunteers so water stops were a bit crowded. Good run overall.

Now imagine that chase being fun, perfectly legal, and for a great cause, and you get the thrill of the Tommy Scott Memorial LAX Run. Here's what to expect from this unique adventure that offers runners the rare chance to take on the turf of the historic airport hub.
- The Cause: Funds from the race benefit the Tommy Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund, which honors the legacy of the fallen heroic LAX police officer by helping kids achieve their college dreams
- The Course: The route—which is divided into a 5K, 10K, or half marathon—begins and ends at Westchester/LAX Fire Station No. 5, where it passes the Tommy Scott memorial site and continues along the perimeter of the Los Angeles International Airport. Each course is certified by the Road Running Technical Council of USA Track & Field.
- The Prizes: All finishers receive a customized medal.
