From Our Editors
Driven by her love of color and her subversive aesthetic sensibilities, Art Poison's founder Ivory first used her brush to challenge authority at the tender age of 6. Fortunately, her mother saw potential in her newly painted pair of stilettos and rewarded her daughter with a set of watercolors. Now a skilled wielder of brush and pen alike, the artist leads open-level art classes every weekend, where students pin down their own muses in original paintings or sketches. At other times, the studio functions largely as a showroom for Ivory’s own work, which blends religious iconography with punk rock sass.
