Delicious and flavorful authentic empanadas. Empanadas are regular size. Such a great deal. Support your local shops. Thank you for serving us. Will come back soon :)

This plane is run down ! There's no language barrier here but the older lady there acts as if there is one. Most of the food is bland and extremely dry. Great Cuban tamales though !

Small old fashioned storefront, delicious 3-bite empanadas with meat filling, Cuban sandwich was just right. Guava pastries and Inca Kola are a great treat and rare find in a restaurant. No-frills environment, just good homemade lunch.

I went there last Friday, and I've waited for 20 minutes just for 2 Cuban sandwiches. The sandwiches would be better if with mayonnaise and ketchup. Few varieties of pastries were there as well.

Buenavista Bakery & Café is comparable to Porto's Bakery in both quality and price. Because it is run by one lady, and nearly everything is made in-house that day, some things on the menu might not be available. Get there early if you want first choice of items, such as empanadas. My little boy absolutely loves the pastries and empanadas, and the owner is so sweet to him. My husband always get the Cuban sandwich. My favorite is the empanadas. Definitely a great local place to check out!

The Groupon I used only said it was for a dozen pastries, but when I got there, I was told that I could have 9 of the empanadas that are only valued at 99cents, and 3 of the other section, valued at $1.39. The higher priced pastries could not be chosen. The value of what I got was clearly less than what I paid. I consider it fraudulent on the part of the bakery, although Groupon has been good about standing behind me and refunding. But aside from all that, I said I didn't want the apple empanadas, so what did she give me: apple! In addition, the higher priced selections looked creamy and good, but I found there was a really odd onion taste that wasn't to my liking at all. And finally, they don't stay open for their posted hours. They say open till 6 pm on weekdays, but they close about 5 pm, so suggest calling ahead. This place was beyond disappointing!
