About Robertson Art Zone (RAZ)

Artist and visionary innovator, Yael Lichaa holds both a Master's Degree in Fine Arts and Elementary Education. As a teacher, she is prepared to elevate the technical application of her student's fine art skills, to create an artistic, expressive experience that connects with your intuition, as well as to embrace and encourage the inner child in us all. We welcome you to our studio! Yael Lichaa was born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine. Since the age of six, Yael showed a special talent in art, particularly in painting and sculpting. However, her mom convinced her to study medicine and Yael got her BA in Biology from the Temple University in Philadelphia. After internal battle between medicine and art, Yael decided to pursue an art career at the Pennsylvania University of the Fine Art, PAFA, in Philadelphia, where she majored in painting and sculpture. At the age of 25, Yael moved to New York and worked at the prestige antique furniture restoration shop in Manhattan. Moving to Los Angeles a few years later, and teaching private art classes to children ages 5-12, teenagers and adults, Yael got her Master Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix in 2008. During the years of 2008 and 2011, Yael developed and taught various art courses, such as Beginner and Advanced Ceramics, Figure Sculpting, Basic Drawing and Sketch Drawing, Oil Painting, Mixed Medium, Bookmaking, Abstract Art, Oil Gilding, Painting on Wood, Dry Pigments and Shellac, Egg Tempera, Milk Painting and more. In 2011 Yael was hired by STAR Education, as a woodworking teacher, teaching in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles elementary schools. In the summer of 2018, Yael ran her unique art camp, where children experimented with many forms of the fine art, visited LA art museums and created their own masterpieces. Recently, Yael opened her own art studio and gallery, where she teaches art to children and adults, and hosts various art shows.
