About The Acting Center
The Acting Center - the modern method for the modern actor
You can see Acting Center students in the current TV shows—Shameless, Atypical, The Good Place, Dear White People, Love, Code Black, Famous in Love, Speechless, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Criminal Minds, Ten Days in the Valley, The Mindy Project, Jane the Virgin, Chicago Med, How to Get Away with Murder, American Crime. And that doesn’t include all the feature films and commercials.
Actors learn best by acting—which is what participants will do for most of each class. A unique technique, made up of over 300 exercises, allows actors to discover their own artistic voices and prepare for auditions with ease.
Students say they are confident, they can create characters and emotions quickly and easily, they are able to adapt in auditions and take direction on the set, and they have the skills needed to succeed in this fast-paced industry.
The Acting Center is for actors of every level of skill and ability. It’s for the most advanced actor and the beginner. The Acting Center technique is, quite literally, the modern method for the modern actor.
- “ I hadn’t booked in quite a while, halfway through the class, I booked a guest star and 3 movies back to back and it is completely because of this new technique. ”
- “ Over the course of this class I’ve booked 2 nationals and I was put on avail for 3 more this week alone.”
- ” I really feel like I can do this. The acting was scary before, but now I can feel like I have new skills and can grow from here and truly be a professional. ”
