Though he's not an instructor himself, sweat yoga founder Tommy Schey has spent thousands of hours in the yoga studio as a student. He drew from that experience in creating sweat, where he created classes that are a bit shorter, the studio is kept impeccably clean, and the music is always on point. But the studio has another another very important element going for it: its temperature. Classes are heated to a comfortable 99 degrees—warm enough to keep muscles loose, but not so hot that students can cook eggs on the floor after class. The yoga practice at sweat is rooted in a vinyasa flow format and offers a connected athletic style that allows students to achieve just what the studio’s name promises.
