The Scouts of New York City were having a problem. Learning to use a map in their urban jungle was proving to be a challenge. Enter Chris Cassone. His idea was this: create a treasure hunt that would force the Scouts to use their map skills to find the answers. The hunt turned out to be a huge success and, soon, Chris was getting requests from schools and other groups who wanted to learn orienteering. The hunts were built in way that nurtured teamwork, problem-solving, and creative solutions, so it wasn't just map skills that were being built on each trek. Because of this, it's not just scouts and school children who now take on Chris' challenges. Today, Fortune 500 companies and corporate leaders from all over the globe use the orienteering events to stretch their minds and build their teams.
