Anyone can rob a bank or get themselves hand-cuffed to the radiator in an unhinged killer's basement. It takes a special kind of escape artist to steal a world-renowned occult object, The Spear, from a rival archaeologist, all while outwitting the KGB. These are the kinds of delightfully cockamamie scenarios The Escapery is known for. Their tongue-in-cheek plots come with a heavy dose of irony—the scenario Destiny, for example, pays homage to Indiana Jones with a main character named Illinois Smith. The current adventures embody a certain theme of the '50s, the Soviet Union, and the Cold War.
