Swamp Sneaux, Westwego

Swamp Sneaux looks like a small, wooden house with a wraparound porch from the outside. But after taking a few steps closer, where the signs' swampy fonts come into focus, it's clear that this is no ordinary house. Instead, it's a monument to whimsy and frozen desserts. "Sneaux" refers to snowballs: fluffy, crystalline mounds of shaved ice drenched with a rainbow of syrups and gummy candies. Other treats include shaved snow, a slightly creamier take on the innovative frozen dessert, and traditional ice-cream sundaes.
