Virginia Elite Summer Program, McLean

Virginia Elite Volleyball Club is one of the premier networks for girls' volleyball in Northern Virginia. Members of its teams—for ages 13–18—often win awards and All-Met selections, and many are recruited by Division I colleges. That's due in part to a coaching system that was redesigned in 2014 to emphasize fundamentals in skill development, which helps eliminate errors in game-time situations.

The coaching staff itself is filled with men and women who played at a high level themselves, still participate in adult leagues, and have lead high-school or club teams.

Youth Training for All

The club is based at the Madeira School's award-winning Hurd Sports Center. There, it offers clinics for current players and area students who want to improve their skills. Players engage with the high-intensity, high-repetition training style to get in fighting shape for a new season, get ready for high-school-level play, or boost themselves from JV to varsity.
