From Our Editors

The high-powered guitars and down-home melodies of Southern rock marry the revving of motorcycle engines at Chester's Harley-Davidson. On March 24, headliner Molly Hatchet belts out the epic songs and fantastical imagery from their extensive discography, including the 1979 hit Flirtin’ with Disaster, which amps up ears and soundtracks comments on a spouse's cooking. The next day, ahead of his new album, Cut from the Same Cloth, Jimmie VanZant siphons inspiration from the guitar-strung limbs of his family tree, with cousins in Lynyrd Skynyrd and .38 Special. The following weekend, four new members infuse fresh energy into Tampa’s Outlaws, whose original singer still croons of “Green Grass and High Tides” in their anthem that hit No. 13 on Billboard ’s Hot 100. The Outlaws and Whiskey Rodeo show will benefit the Special Olympics Arizona, with riders beginning at 10 a.m., and riding to Chester's Harley-Davidson for the concert.
