Bubble Run, Metairie

The Bubble Run is the epitome of a fun run, and not just because it douses runners from head to toe with frothy colored bubbles. The 5K race welcomes people of all ages, eschews stopwatches, and gives out no awards or keys to the city's candy factories to those who finish first. Instead, fun-runners in white T-shirts focus on getting sprayed with as much colored, nontoxic foam as possible while running, walking, or dancing down the course. The fun continues after the race, when a DJ spins tunes and extra foam sprays the crowds.
