From Our Editors
In "auto" mode, cameras automatically adjust their settings to their environments—but in the more artist-friendly manual mode, photographers control every element of their image, from its point of focus to its exposure time. At PhotoSCOOP Stay in the Loop, instructors help their students master the second photography style in four-hour Stepping into Manual Mode workshops, which cover topics such as ISO, aperture, and adding an external flash.
The photography center hosts workshops on more specialized topics, too. Studio Lighting and Posing 101, for example, covers the essentials of flattering studio portraits, whether you're capturing a smiling family or a newlywed couple. Other sessions focus on topics such as outdoor shooting and fashion photography.
