Coastal Bohemian has 20 years experience in upcycling, painting, and repurposing furniture and home decor. Michele has a funky fresh imagination that will help your creative juices flow. We also offer studio time with our artist to help you recreate or put a new story into a piece.

Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
Students need to bring a smock or painting clothes.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
After Hurricane Sandy hit my home on Long Island, I couldn't bring myself to purchase new furniture. The pieces in my home were handcrafted by me. Painting, decoupaging, and using mosaics brought me back to a place I'd like to take my students—back to a place that brings out the inner artistic bohemian.

What do you love most about your job?
I love the comraderie that is built during the creative process, and I love being covered in paint. I think I was a struggling artist in another life. Hehe.
