I have been on several ghost tours in NOLA over the past 10 years and this is one of the better ones.

I booked the tour a few months in advance and was told that it was confirmed. I called a week before the date I chose and spoke with the owner to confirm my booking. He said he was unable to check my booking at the time, but that if I called to make a reservation, that I should have received an email confirmation. I told him that I did not receive the email, but he said that it should be fine and that I can show up at the time that I reserved. On the day of my tour, I showed up with my groupon and the manager informs me that I was not on the list, and if this was a full group for the tour, that I would be turned away. Lucky for me, it was a small group so I was allowed on the tour. The tour itself was pretty bad. I have been to New Orleans before and did a tour with a different company that provided a more in depth knowledge of the history of the French Quarter and New Orleans, and spent most of the time in the French Quarter. This tour took place mostly in the St. Louis Cemetery 1 and in Congo Square, even though the stories were all about the French Quarter. The tour guide walked extremely quickly throughout the entire tour, so you really didn't get to take in the sights or have time for photos. The tour guide also spoke too quickly and moved on to the next stop suddenly.

The lady that I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude and not informative at all. She made me feel as if i was annoying her. The tour guy was extremely boring and brought no life to the tour. This company was the worse one Iv been on. I would spent the extra money on one of the others. Do not waste your time with this one.

This was a lot of fun. Our guide was a weird, silly dude. He grew on us. The history was there. The cemetery was beautiful. With a Groupon, this is a no brainer!

We were unable to make the tour as we were running late. They ask for your voucher numbers on the phone when you make an appointment, and mark them as redeemed either way. Now we are unable to do the tour because our vouchers have been marked as redeemed.

From Our Editors

Witches Brew Tours provides guided walking tours for groups through a variety experiences that showcase the unique mysteries of the French Quarter—where spirits, witches, and vampires dwell and voodoo lurks at every turn. Fully licensed guides tell strange but true tales of vengeful ghosts, vampires, the Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau, and, of course, the infamous Madame LaLaurie. Visitors can also experience New Orleans' only abandoned-building ghost hunt or choose to meander through the French Quarter to the most famous City of the Dead: St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 and its maze of tombs.
