From Our Editors
When students partake in the Teen DVD workshop at Fun Arts Afterschool, they aren't just learning how to write a script, storyboard a skit, and act in it. They're also providing positive messages to wayward teens. Once students complete the sketches they've created and acted out, each short segment is compiled on a DVD that's doled out to youth detention centers across the country. The sketches may be humorous, but they deal with subjects—such as depression and drugs—that are very real to teens. The program is just one of the film and TV workshops that Fun Arts offers for children and teens.
