Gypsy portrays the travails of Mama Rose, a stage mother determined to see her daughters shine in vaudeville. When her first and favorite, June, runs away, she turns to Louise, whose hidden talents explode like a stuffed animal filled with lit fireworks on the stage. Actors imbue the lyrics of "Everything’s Coming Up Roses" and "Let Me Entertain You" with emotion as audience members croon and caterwaul from the back row and individual tables arranged in front of the stage. The show’s content is suitable for children older than 12.
