We are NOT BROKERS!!! It's our guys, our trucks, your move! Moving brokers & booking agents have diluted the moving industry by booking moves & subcontracting moves to un-qualified movers. We DO NOT subcontract moves, nor do we take moves from other companies. We stand as a REAL moving company.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
In 1999, Gary Muraco Sr. was tired of working for companies that didn't honor the kind of quality he sold to the customer. He started Ft. Lauderdale Moving & Storage, Inc. on Fort Lauderdale Beach living in a 1 bedroom apartment driving an old Ford Station Wagon. Logoed it "MOVERS" and went to work.
What do you love most about your job?
Meeting new faces and moving people on with their lives. I really love the moving business, people don't like to move, neither do I, but I have a talent and a passion for the business. I have been in the business my who life and have encountered all walks of life.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
One time there was a damage that occurred. Not an easy fix either, but we took the time to asses what we needed to do. We followed through with our obligation to make it right. In the end, not only did we gain a great friendship with the customer, they also treated us to dinner at a fine restaurant.
