What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? _Not only are classes in a beautiful setting at the Bellevue Club, a living historic landmark on Lake Merritt, but our eclectic and energizing music travels through history and genre like no one else! I am also a writer, so I bring a different edge, energy, and comedy to my classes. _

Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged? Zumba is challenging because of the intense engagement of brain and body. I keep students motivated by mixing easy and challenging songs, and sharing stories. We also have some fun with fashion and have a free party once in a while. Zumba creates community!

What was the inspiration to start or run this business? I am a creative person, and found other forms of exercise boring. When I discovered Zumba, I realized I could take my secret dance-in-my-living-room moves out to help others feel alive! And it's so much fun. My motto is, "Sweat Yourself Silly."
