During GloRun OKC, participants wear bright colors and sprint through darkness toward a finish line. But that's not all of what makes the event fun. Multiple tunnels filled with blacklights line the course. Runners who wish to accessorize their look can also visit the body paint station, photo booth, and glow gear stand, which are available to all participants. A DJ is on hand to add a pulsating soundtrack as runners make their way along the course from start to finish, where the first 400 5K runners to cross the finish line receive a finisher medal. Proceeds from the run go toward The Recovery Center, a local government funded nonprofit that provides counseling and medical care to those dealing with substance abuse disorders. This year, all finishers who register online before the event will receive a finisher medal.
