Named Best Toronto Burger 2015 by Hellmann's Mayonnaise, and a competitor of Rachael Ray's Blue Moon Burger Bash in New York City, the first Shamrock Burgers opened in 1970 by Mr. Danny Maleganeas and as a result of his passion for quality and service this family owned and operated business has grown and prospered for over 46 years. It all started with delicious homemade recipes for burgers and onion rings, made fresh to order. In addition to be being delicious, it also happened that his cooking was fast, and soon the eatery began to spread, franchise-like, to new locations. Despite essentially being a fast food restaurant, the menu shows a little more variety than one might expect from a burger joint. In addition to beef patties, diners can order prime rib steaks on buns, chicken souvlaki, and poutine with real cheese curds.
