Kanata Music Centre

Starting at age 2, children at Kanata Music Centre pick up music through immersion in a joyful world of rhythm, games, melody, and movement. Classes based on the Yamaha Music Education System begin with rhythm instruments and exercises that cultivate the powers of attention that students will need to develop an accurate ear and sound practice habits. As soon as preschoolers' motor skills have caught up with their inborn appreciation of Mozart, they'll be introduced to keyboard instruments and begin to make music with others. By the time they're in early elementary school, students are ready to progress to ensemble playing, music theory, and the composition skills needed to persuasively serenade college admissions boards.
