What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? We offer a FUN modern twist to your traditional sewing classes. We encourage CREATIVITY ! Your child is not just learning to sew but they are using their imagination while creating their creations, troubleshoot their machines while having fun! We teach sewing lessons for kids and adults. We follow our own curriculum with set amount of projects enough to work with for 9 months. However, we allow our students to freely follow their own imagination as well! There are no registration fee. We only require your first month’s fee to register for a class. We are the only sewing studio in the county that offers a Fall Fashion & Craft show for our students! All students are encourage to participate in our fall fashion show. The kids are allowed to sell their own handmade products.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business? I grew up from a family of seamstress, tailors, crafters and engineers! As a homeschool mom of four kids, I wanted my kids to have a learning space that allows them to freely use their imagination and create beautiful projects. My mother and I worked side by side sharing our love for sewing and crafting with my own children. We later on realized that there was a need for such a learning environment in our community. We gave it a try and offered lessons from our home to friends in our homeschool community. It was a hit! A year later we are ended up moving to a studio in West Melbourne!

What do you love most about your job? I love that I get to work with people that I love - my mom and rest of the family! I love that we get to teach all the excited children that walk thru our doors how to sew! I look forward to each class and hearing what our student have been planning to work on! I love to believe that in some small ways we are making an impact in all these children’s lives.

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer? I guess it would be when I tell the kids it is time to go home after an hour or two of sewing. The room will just be full of “ oh, no!” or “ She can wait!” and parents texting us, letting us know they are outside waiting after 3 hours of sewing. The smile and excitement from our student’s faces when they finish a project for the first time!
