What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Skydive the Wasatch’s U.S. Parachute Association–certified instructors have completed an average of more than 3,000 skydives each and are well versed in the art of freefall. The staff’s goal is to make every customer feel comfortable each step (and jump) of the way.
What is the experience customers can expect?
The day starts with a 15 minute class on the basics of tandem skydiving. The student is then fitted into a harness and embarks on a 20 minute plane ride to jump altitude. Upon exiting the aircraft, the student will enjoy 20-40 seconds of freefall followed by a 5 minute parachute ride back to earth.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
After skydiving for 10 years I wanted the opportunity to share this amazing experience with beginners. The look on every student’s face after they have landed is worth all the hard work and dedication that running a small business entails.
What do you love most about your job?
The constant buzz of energy and excitement that is inherent with working at a dropzone. Watching nervous students overcome their fear and doubts on a daily basis.
