Terry Craig and Jennifer Wanless-Craig, the husband-and-wife team behind Artech Glass Blowing Studios, prefer that people actually use their work instead of just letting it collect dust on a shelf. At their traditional glassblowing studio, they handcraft upcycled glass tableware and barware with a sense of humor. Discarded wine bottles are transformed into decanters, and beer bottles become quirky glasses, including the upside-down model beer printed with the message, "If you can read this, then you spilled your beer." The couple host glassblowing workshops to share their passion with others. Participants of their classes learn traditional glassblowing skills and make handmade glass items such as paperweights, small blown cups, and vases.
