Most people who are injured on a football field are players. But not Wendy Sanches. In high school, she suffered from pinched nerves as a member of the marching band. And from that point on, she was intrigued by chiropractic medicine, so much so, that she eventually went on to earn her doctorate in the field. Later on, she also became a specialist in prenatal and pediatric care, and today, she draws on both those fields at Empowered Life, PC. As if that weren't enough, Wendy also boasts a masters in nutrition and sports health, so in addition to adjustments, she can also recommend corrective exercises and provide nutritional counseling.

Further treatment is provided in the form of massages, performed at Empowered Life by staff massage therapist, Christina. Graduated from Virginia College's School of Massage in 2014, Christina is dedicated to medical massage and the benefits it can provide for the body, as well as learning new techniques and treatments. She recently gained her certification in lymphatic detoxification, and her massage techniques include deep tissue, neuromuscular, Swedish, reflexology, prenatal, muscle energy techniques, sports, hot stones, myofascial release, scar tissue repair, and trigger point.
