Each year, Pride Glow Run transforms the southwest side of the Waterfront into a sea of glowing neon lights. The action starts up after the sun goes down, when Portland's riverside bridges and building begin to twinkle. They're not alone, as participants decked in glow bands and their most colorful getups tackle the 3-mile run, proudly waving rainbow-colored LED batons along the way. Folks of all athletic levels are encouraged to walk, run, or dance throughout the fun-focused event.
The event's proceeds go to continuing Pride Northwest's mission of celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans individuals, and furthering the education of all peoples to showcase the history and talents of the LGBT communities.
