Getting Started

Getting Started
At Studio Blue we offer the most robust Pilates and yoga group class schedule in the Portland area with over 40 classes per week to choose from and a wide variety of class formats and instructor teaching styles. As a new client you'll get a free week (7 consecutive days, starting any day you choose) of unlimited mat classes including Pilates, yoga, Sculpt (these classes incorporate light free weights), Bosu/Fitness Ball, Springboard equipment classes, and TRX Suspension Training. We encourage you to take as many group classes as you can while they're free and get to know our different instructors and class formats. If you're new to Pilates and don't have any preexisting conditions such as back issues, chronic pain, or recent injury or surgery, you can start out with both Beginner and All Level classes. Beginner classes introduce you to the basics of spinal alignment, core stabilization and proper Pilates breathing…all of which are important to help you engage the proper muscle groups and get the most out of each exercise. And we'll make sure you learn to start your Pilates practice safely by teaching you how to keep the exercises out of your lower back and how to avoid creating back and neck tension. Our All Level classes cater both to beginners and those who have practiced Pilates for awhile. In these classes your instructor offers modifications or "starting points" for many of the exercises, as well as more advanced variations on them for the experienced student. Even if you have been doing Pilates for years, the Studio requires you to take at least 10 All Level classes OR get instructor approval before moving on to the Intermediate level. Please speak with the front desk if you would like to be considered for Intermediate classes before meeting this prerequisite. If you do have a preexisting medical condition, disc issues, osteopenia or osteoporosis, or any other ongoing pain or chronic medical condition, please call us at 503-224-5073 to discuss other options before starting group classes. We may recommend you start with private sessions before moving on to group classes to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
To Schedule Your First Mat Class:
Call us at 503-224-5073 or email info@studiobluepdx.com with any personal information we need to best recommend the most appropriate place to start. We will put a free week of classes on an account for you, allowing you to schedule classes online and change or cancel reservations. Your free week won't start until you actually show up for your first class. Plan to be here 10-15 minutes prior to the start of your first class to fill out a New Client Registration form. You can also download the form here and bring it with you if that's more convenient. Studio Blue is a barefoot studio, so no shoes are allowed in the mat room. You may wear toe socks. We provide several types of mats free of charge (they are wiped down after each class), but if you prefer to bring your own mat, that's ok! There is free on-street parking all around our building and our entrance is on the east side of NW 17th Avenue between Glisan and Hoyt. Please wear form fitting, comfortable, stretchy clothing that will allow your body to move freely and lets your instructor see your posture and alignment during class. We believe in providing hands on instruction in group classes, and your instructor may make slight corrections and adjustments during class to help you get the maximum benefit from each exercise and to ensure you are doing each exercise safely. If you absolutely do NOT want to be touched or corrected in class, please notify your instructor or the front desk before class begins. When you arrive for class please sign in at the front desk. If you are reserved, initial next to your name, or if you are dropping in to a class, write your name in the space provided. For your safety, and as a courtesy to your instructor and fellow classmates, clients arriving more than 5 minutes late for class will not be allowed in to the classroom. If you need to cancel a mat class reservation, please call or email us at least 2 hours prior to the start of class.
Mat Class Waitlist Policy
Occasionally classes may be full and you will be put on a waitlist. If we have a cancellation and you are moved from the waitlist and confirmed in the class, you will receive an automated email right away. If you are wait-listed for a morning class, please check your email as early as possible to see if you may have gotten into a class due to an overnight cancellation. If your wait-listed reservation is confirmed any day prior to the day of the class, we assume you will attend class; if you have made other plans and cannot attend it is your responsibility to cancel your reservation by phone, email, or online. If a spot opens up for you the SAME DAY that class is held, we will also call you to confirm your attendance. If you receive an email from us for a same day reservation, please hit "reply" with a "yes I'll be there" or "no I can't make it" message so we can free up your spot for another client.
Late Cancel/No Show Policy
Our early cancellation policy for mat classes is at least 2 hours prior to the start of class. After that, you will be considered a "late cancel" and subject to a $19 drop in fee. If you "no show" a reserved class you will also be charged a $19 drop in fee. A complete listing of our group class policies can be found here. Pilates

Pilates Beginner
Learn the core foundations of Pilates. This class is structured for new Pilates students, or those who are interested in refining their movement. You'll learn the difference between neutral spine and imprint, proper Pilates breathing, ribcage placement, neck placement and pelvic alignment. Mastering these basics to your practice will ensure you perform each exercise properly and have a clear understanding of muscle engagement. You'll learn to work your body in all planes of movement, and will master the fundamental exercises that you need in order to improve your practice over time. Some exercises you'll do in this class include single leg stretch, scissors, figure 4 resistive stretching and important prep exercises for teasers, plank, pushups and side plank. This class will teach you proper biomechanics so that as you grow in your practice you'll know how to protect your back, use Pilates breathing to intensify each exercise, and how to create opposition in your body.
Pilates All Levels
Learn the core foundations of Pilates in an all level class. These classes build core strength and flexibility through exercises originally developed by Joseph Pilates. The breath is used to engage pelvic floor and strengthen abdominal muscles, thus relieving back strain and pressure. Class Pilates is a low impact exercise program that is also especially valuable for clients with foot, knee or hip injuries. This is a full body workout where you will reshape your waistline, contour your legs, and gain a firmer rear. This is an all level class and your instructor will offer both modifications for newer students and up-level challenges for those who want to intensify their workout.
Pilates Intermediate
If you have mastered the fundamentals of Pilates alignment, breathing and how to focus on engaging specific muscle groups, then it is time for you to move on to become an Intermediate Level Pilates student. At the Intermediate class level you should be able to create opposition in your body, and start adding "up levels" to each exercise to challenge your core strength, mobility and stability. In this class you'll practice Intermediate exercises such as double leg stretch, 1-legged bridge work, side kicks, push ups, side planks, and back extension. A class that targets sculpting the lower body systematically using the Pilates repertoire. Reshape your waistline, contour your legs, and gain a firmer rear all in one intense mat workout. Be ready to feel a burn!
Pilates Advanced
This class is designed for pilates students and athletes who are ready to move beyond the Intermediate class level and want a real mind/body challenge. At the Advanced level you should have a clear understanding of how to engage targeted muscle groups and enough strength, balance and flexibility to work the muscles to the point of fatigue and flow easily from one exercise to the next. The Advanced student has mastered the mind/body connection, and understands how to resist both ways in each exercise. Some exercises you'll do in this class include corkscrew, open leg rocker, jackknife, control balance and neck pull. We will work on the efficiency of muscles, balance, and focus. Every exercise will work towards fatiguing muscle groups to build endurance. This is a flowing series of slow, methodical, intense exercises to fast dynamic movement. Expect to sweat and be open to try new things.
Pilates Rehab
Another popular class is Pilates Rehab, focusing on a gentle range of motion, and working to improve joint stability and spinal rotation. Exercises in the Rehab class avoid thoracic flexion…especially important when working with clients who may suffer from chronic back pain, scoliosis, bulging discs, or are recovering from a recent back injury.
Pilates/Yoga Flow
Yoga and Pilates are made for each other! Traditional Pilates exercises will be mixed with the deep stretches and strengthening poses from yoga. This class is ideal for those who to stretch and strengthen hamstrings, hips, back and shoulders.
Yoga/Pilates Intermediate
This class is designed to be a total body workout firming and toning every major muscle group by combining intermediate pilates exercises with traditional yoga postures and stretches. You'll get your heart rate up and challenge your core, balance, and full body strength in a vigorous, fast paced class. You will burn fat, while lengthening the muscles for a more lean physique. This workout is the perfect complement to your regular yoga or pilates practice and you will definitely be feeling it the next day!

Sculpt

Pilates/Yoga Sculpt - Intermediate
All - This class is designed to be a total body workout sculpting every major muscle group by combining light weights with traditional yoga postures and core exercises. The routine flows from one pose to the next while working toward total mind/body harmony. This class includes a vigorous lunge series with extended standing balance and floor stretch moves, and will burn fat, while lengthening the muscles for a more lean physique. This workout is the perfect complement to your regular yoga or Pilates practice!
Pilates Sculpt - All Levels
All - In this boot camp styled class we will combine free weights, personal training and traditional Pilates body-sculpting exercises in a fast-paced class. This class will work those key muscle groups to the point of fatigue and then lengthen and stretch those muscle groups to give you the kind of body that is strong and contoured, yet long and lean.

Yoga

Yoga Flow - All Levels
All - This is a gentle yoga class where we move our bodies "in a flow" incorporating the breath toward a more meditative awareness. You will move through a series of stretches and strengthening body poses. This class is suitable for all levels, especially beginners, and we will cultivate greater mental and physical awareness, strength, and flexibility.
Pilates | Yoga Flow - Beginner
Yoga and Pilates are made for each other! Traditional Pilates exercises will be mixed with the deep stretches and strengthening poses from yoga. This class is ideal for Pilates lovers who want relief from chronic pain in their hamstrings, hips, back, and shoulders.
Pilates | Yoga Sculpt - Intermediate

The routine flows from one pose to the next while working toward total mind/body harmony. Yin Yoga
Much of the stress, injury, and strain we experience physically comes from the the immense energy we expend resisting gravity, and propelling ourselves through it. Yin yoga seeks deep relaxation by releasing muscles and connective tissue into gravity in proper alignment, through supported poses. When our bodies are supported through props and poses, it is able to let go of holding patterns, decompress, and begin the process of healing and realigning bones and muscles. Not only is this class wonderfully relaxing and restorative, it is a must for active and athletic people, to bring balance and ease of movement into the body.
Core Yoga
This is a Forrest Yoga-inspired practice designed to strengthen and connect you to your "center", physically, mentally and emotionally. The first step to a stronger core is becoming a better breather…in this class, you will learn how to breathe into your entire core, stimulating flexibility, ease AND strength. You will practice relaxing your neck, spinal mobility, invigorating abdominal exercises, and some standing yoga poses to incorporate moving from center. This class is suitable for all levels and will always offer modifications for injuries and varying abilities.

Springboard

Springboard
The Springboard is a perfect balance between our Pilates floor work with the Reformer. Exercises can be done seated, standing, kneeling, and lying down using resistance and assistance training to build core strength, coordination, balance, and flexiblilty. Classes will also help articulate the spine, strengthen weak back muscles, while also improving posture.
Beginner / All Levels
Have you always wondered how Pilates works on the springboard or other equipment? The springboard is similar to the reformer, with two important differences. First, springboard has 2 different levels of resistance, one set of springs for arms (yellow), and another for legs (purple). In addition, springboards are more unstable than the smooth pulley system on the reformer. That means your body needs to work to stabilize yourself during your springboard workout. In the beginner level class you'll learn some basic roll-down bar exercises such as rollups, swan, lat and tricep presses and squats with bicep curls. With the handles on, you'll try the hundred and arm circles. And with leg springs, single leg pulls and circles, running, frog, bicycle and side kicks. And because your own body is providing stability, you'll feel it in all your smaller intrinsic muscles. It's a great complement to your mat workout!
Intermediate
If you're looking for more challenge and to add on to your springboard practice, you'll love this intermediate level class that incorporates cardio, heavier resistance, and more advanced springboard exercises. You may be doing hip ups with the stability bar, or or use the roll down bar for arch back roll downs, side roll ups, jackknife, arabesque, or teaser. With handles, you can do punching, hug a tree, or back rowing. Some of the more advanced leg spring exercises incorporate levitation with leg pulls, running or bicycle. You'll definitely work up a sweat and get those muscles shaking!

TRX

Looking for a new challenge?
Try a TRX suspension training class! TRX classes will push your training to another level. And with over 100 different exercises, TRX training is a full body workout that will always challenge your body with something new and different. You'll build lean muscle mass and get toned! Created by U.S. Navy SEALS, TRX Suspension Training is a revolutionary method of leveraged body weight exercise. A versatile strap system builds power, strength, flexibility, balance, and mobility, all at the intensity YOU choose. Instead of lifting WEIGHTS, the TRX suspension system utilizes YOUR BODY WEIGHT…essentially, its your body versus gravity. TRX suspension training classes are designed for all people, all ages, all fitness levels. Anyone who is a novice to an elite athlete can do TRX suspension, because YOU select the angle of your own body. To increase the intensity, move away from the TRX suspension frame. To decrease the intensity, move closer to the TRX suspension frame. You are in control.
TRX Policies:
Class sizes are limited to 6 people to ensure you get personal attention and correction. All Level and Intermediate classes are restricted to clients who have taken beginner classes at the studio. Our mat room has a strict NO SHOES policy. If you feel you would like extra support, gripped ToeSox are available for purchase at the studio.

Bosu/Fitness Ball

Put a little bounce into your workout!
Our Bosu/Fitness Ball classes are all about adding the element of instability to your Pilates routine, challenging the major muscle groups AND all the smaller stabilizing muscles in the body. This is a full-body sculpting routine combining balance work, cardiovascular exercise and free weights. The first time you step on a Bosu you'll notice muscles working you may have never felt before, from the tiny intrinsic muscles in your feet to proper ankle balance, all the way up your calves, quads and hamstrings. You will be amazed at how different it feels to do your lunges and squats on this unstable "bubble" rather than on solid ground. Flip the Bosu over and perform your planks and pushups using your core strength to keep you from rocking back and forth, almost as though you were getting your "sea legs" on a ship! The Fitness Ball (also known as the Stability or Swiss Ball) is a versatile piece of equipment that can be used for everything from physical therapy and rehabilitation to hardcore personal training. Like the Bosu, the Ball adds an element of instability to each exercise. It can also serve as a gentle support for the spine when used performing abdominal exercises. Working on the fitness ball requires the student to focus on proprioception and balance, while allowing fluid movement for each exercise. The Ball can also be held overhead, in front of, or to the side of the body with outstretched arms and a gentle squeeze, combining upper back extension with squats or lunges in the advanced repertoire. It's amazing how something filled with air can feel so heavy so fast! In this fast paced class you'll work both upper and lower body using weights and balance-challenging exercises, toning abs, thighs, glutes, calves and ankles. Your legs will be shaking and you'll definitely be sweating! At the Intermediate level you should have a clear understanding of how to engage targeted muscle groups and enough strength, balance and flexibility to work muscles to the point of fatigue and flow easily from one exercise to the next. The Intermediate student has mastered the mind/body connection, and understands how to create resistance in the body with in each exercise.
Bosu/Fitness Ball Class Policies:
Please note this class is NOT recommended for anyone with unstable joints, preexisting knee or ankle issues, or recent knee or ankle surgery or injury. If you are unsure if this class is right for you, please consult the front desk and/or your instructor. In order to take All Level Bosu/Fitness Ball class you must have either taken 10 Pilates Sculpt classes or have teacher approval. To move on to the Intermediate Level you must have taken 10 All Level Bosu/Fitness Ball classes or have teacher approval. Class sizes are limited to 9 people to ensure you are working safely in this challenging class. Class time is 55 minutes.

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation
This class is for anyone who wants to start a low impact Pilates-based exercise regime, it will show you how to alleviate chronic aches and pains while discovering freer movement. Rotation and length of the spine will be emphasized. You'll learn easy, pain-free ways to improve your flexibility, as well as how to engage your pelvic floor for improved core strength and stability. This class is the perfect choice for anyone who needs to move slowly and thoughtfully due to chronic pain, or while recovering from injury.

At Studio Blue we offer a variety of small group Reformer classes in several different formats. Our reformer room accommodates 1 to 3 clients at a time so you are sure to get individualized attention and correction in a group class environment. If you're new to Studio Blue or have never been on our reformers, you must take at least one private session on the equipment before being approved for group reformer classes. This is to ensure your safety getting on and off the equipment in a group setting, and to make sure you can adjust the springs, foot bar, head rest, and other features of the apparatus while keeping pace with the rest of your classmates. This first private session is discounted to $50 from our normal price of $70 per hour. You may also choose to extend this savings with our 5-Session Introductory Privates, which saves you $100 off the regular price. In either case, your instructor will go through a comprehensive checklist of features and usage of the equipment with you and give you a "stamp of approval" after you complete the requirements. The front desk will note in your profile that you are approved for group reformer classes, and you can feel free to schedule them immediately afterward or at your convenience online. Beginners / Rehab

Beginners / Rehab
These classes are best for those who are new to the equipment and for clients who may have preexisting health conditions, chronic pain, back issues, recent injury or surgery, or any other condition which may require the instructor to offer individualized modifications of the exercises for each client.

All Levels

All Levels
After completing 10 Beginner level classes, you are allowed to advance your practice to All Level. In these classes the instructor will expect you to to adjust your springs and know how to modify exercises as needed, as well as advance to more challenging versions of many of the exercises that your instructor may cue.

Intermediate

Intermediate
After completing 10 All Level classes, you can try Intermediate level. These classes move at a faster pace, challenging balance, core stability and strength and may include the use of various props such as the jumpboard or foam roller to take your practice to the next level.

Getting Started

It's all about YOU!
Whether you're starting your Pilates practice to build core strength and stability, to rehab an injury or recover from surgery, or to improve your athletic performance, Pilates private sessions are a great way to start. At Studio Blue, your private Pilates lessons are held in an intimate, comfortable setting. You won't be in a big room filled with other clients and their trainers. It's just you and your Pilates instructor working together to meet your goals in a fully private setting.
What should you expect from a private Pilates session?
Expect to communicate, listen, get corrections, and receive feedback from your trainer and expect to move from the very start! You'll perform the order of exercises while your trainer cues you toward correct form, breath, and alignment. A brief postural analysis is conducted and progress is marked on your client record at every session. Every body is unique. Private sessions allow instructors to focus on your specific goals and your body's needs and abilities. In a private session, your instructor may use a variety of Pilates apparatus including reformer, cadillac, chair, barrels, mat, TRX, etc., to provide the most appropriate exercises for your body and goals. Duet Privates (semi-private sessions for you and spouse or a friend) are also available and can be an ideal (and cost effective) way for two to work out together who are of similar physical ability and want more personal attention than in a group class. We also offer a special Introductory Duets package that saves you $35 per person on your first 3 Duet sessions. You'll get 3 private duet sessions for just $100 per person!
Private lessons are for you if:
You suffer from chronic pain and have tried other methods such as physical therapy, chiropractic, massage, acupuncture, surgery or other medical treatments to alleviate the pain and are not seeing improvement. This isn't a "one size fits all" Pilates lesson. Each session, we'll customize an equipment workout based on your exact needs. You may start your workout on the Cadillac, move to the Pilates reformer and end your session on the mat. Every session will be different, informative and intense (and fun, too!)
Did you know that your medical insurance may cover your private Pilates sessions?
While we do not file medical insurance claims, we can provide your insurance company with your progress notes, session records and billing records if Pilates is covered. If you are being referred to Pilates from your physicial or physical therapist, make sure to call your insurance provider to see if you are eligible for reimbursement. Many employer FSA's (Flexible Spending Accounts) can also be used to pay for your Pilates sessions, so check with your Human Resource department as well.
To Schedule Your First Private or Duet Private Session:
Call us at 503-224-5073 so we can find a time that works for your schedule and discuss your unique needs and goals, and make sure we schedule you with a trainer perfectly suited to meet your needs. If this will be your first visit to Studio Blue, plan to be here 10-15 minutes prior to the start of your session to fill out a New Client Registration form. You can also download the form here and bring it with you if that's more convenient. Please note: we will need a valid credit card on file, or a current introductory package before your first appointment. There is free on-street parking all around our building and our entrance is on the east side of NW 17th Avenue between Glisan and Hoyt. Please wear form fitting, comfortable, stretchy clothing that will allow your body to move freely and lets your instructor see your posture and alignment. We believe in providing hands on instruction and your instructor may make slight corrections and adjustments during class to help you get the maximum benefit from each exercise and to ensure you are doing each exercise safely. If you need to cancel a private session, please call or email us at least 24 hours prior to the start of your class or session or the session will be charged in full.
Late Cancel/No Show Policy
Our early cancellation policy for private sessions is at least 24 hours prior to your appointment time. After that, you will be considered a "late cancel" and subject to a the full session fee. If you "no show" your appointment you will also be subject to the full session fee. We look forward to meeting you and welcome to our Studio Blue family!

Private sessions are the ideal way to jumpstart your recovery process. Initially you and your instructor will meet behind closed doors in a fully private equipment room to review any notes from your physician or physical therapist, assess your condition, and begin planning the best course of treatment for you. You will be given a postural assessment, if necessary, and your instructor will gently guide you through a series of Pilates exercises, noting your areas of strength and weakness, flexibility, and range of motion with careful, hands on guidance to make corrections and ensure proper alignment. Throughout your session your instructor may also test muscles to see if they are firing in the proper sequence. After your first session, he/she will make notes in your folder for you next session and to document your progress. For maximum benefit and improvement, we recommend coming in for privates a minimum of two times per week.

Check with your health care provider to see if you need a referral. While we cannot bill insurance directly, we can easily provide them with your progress notes, copies of receipts and your visit history. You may also be able to use your Flexible Spending Account toward your privates.

When Joseph Pilates came to the U.S. and established his New York studio, many of his first students were professional dancers. As athletes, dancers need to maintain top physical condition but also know how to protect themselves from repetitive injuries due to their rigorous training and performance schedules. Since then, professional athletes around the world have added Pilates to their training routines to develop core strength, assist in rehabilitation after injury and create muscular balance throughout the entire body. Athletes know that flexibility is a key component to avoiding injury - and passive stretching is NOT always the answer. Pilates exercises incorporate eccentric muscle activation - that means actively lengthening while strengthening your muscles - which is essential to strength and flexibility. Adding Pilates to your athletic lifestyle will increase these 9 specific performance factors, which, when combined, are essential to creating an athlete who knows how to train and perform at peak levels while greatly reducing the chance of injury: Posture, Balance, Mobility/Flexibility, Stability, Coordination, Functional Strength, Endurance, Proprioception/Body Awareness, Mind/Body Connection. That's why Olympic athletes, NBA, NFL and MLB professionals have added Pilates to their training regimens. For athletes participating in sports that by nature lead to body imbalance, such as golfers or ice skaters who are always moving in the same direction, Pilates helps them strengthen their weaker side and increase flexibility on their tighter side. It's a similar case for runners, hikers and cyclists who are constantly moving in forward, parallel motion, and need to add rotation and side-to-side movement to increase their performance and reduce the risk of injury. Duet Privates (semi-private sessions for you and spouse or a friend) are available and can be an ideal (and cost effective) way for two to work out together who are of similar physical ability and want more personal attention than in a group class. We also offer a special Introductory Duets package that saves you $35 per person on your first 3 Duet sessions. You'll get 3 private duet sessions for just $100 per person!

Getting Started

Are you suffering from chronic pain and nothing makes it go away? Are you preparing for upcoming surgery or recovering from one? Have you had a recent injury that is in need of rehabilitation?
If you said "yes" to any of the above, then using Pilates for rehabilitation could be the answer to strengthening your body, reducing recovery time and minimizing or even possibly eliminating your chronic pain. Joseph Pilates was a sickly child, suffering from asthma, rickets and rheumatic fever. He grew up believing that by becoming physically fit he could overcome these illnesses. Joseph later dubbed his method "contrology", defined as a combination of mental focus, muscle control, coordinated breathwork and precise movement that flows from stability of the spine. During WWI Joseph worked with injured soldiers, many of whom were bedridden. He began using bedsprings to help rehabilitate the soldiers without having to get them out of bed. His spring resistance exercises facilitated movement, improved circulation, muscle strength, joint stabilization, and spine stability. This was the genesis of Pilates equipment, now commonly used by physical therapists to rehab a wide variety of conditions, including but not limited to: Acute and Chronic Back Pain, Osteoporosis, Sports Injuries, Auto & Work Related Injuries, Knee or Hip Replacement, Scoliosis. As corrective exercise, Pilates balances and strengthens the muscles of the pelvis, hips, spine and deep core. This helps prevent new injuries, minimizes problems from pre-existing injuries, and reduces back pain because the body's movement is coming from the strong foundation.

Reformer Classes

Reformer
If your condition does not require intensive one-on-one attention, group reformer rehab classes may be a good fit. These classes focus on joint stability and spinal mobility, while building core strength. You will still have the full attention of your instructor to make any adjustments necessary and to ensure that you are engaging the right muscles in each exercise. In these classes your instructor will teach your abdominal exercises while maintaining a "neutral spine" position rather than going into spinal flexion. Neutral spine abdominal work is recommended for clients with osteoporosis, osteopenia, previous spinal fractures and those with herniated discs. But even without spinal flexion, you can still learn how to move from your core safely with the supervision of your instructor.

Mat Classes

Mat Classes
Over time and as your body recovers and you have less of a need for the stability provided by the Pilates equipment, you may want to consider moving into rehabilitative mat classes. Mat work will require you to stabilize your own body in many exercises, without the assistance the equipment provides. The mat rehab repertoire is built on low or zero impact exercises, core strengthening, posture enhancement and slow and thoughtful movement. These classes are also great for anyone who may be suffering from occasional back or neck tension, or recent minor injury, such as a twisted ankle or broken toe. That way you can keep coming to Pilates while you work your way back to your previous performance level slowly and safely. These classes are limited to 8 clients to ensure that the instructor can offer appropriate modifications to everyone and make any hands on adjustments.
