Twister Street Tacos, Richardson

The centerpiece of Twister Street Tacos menu is an authentic version of the street-taco staple al pastor. Owner Eric Eichelmann, who was born and raised in Mexico, told CultureMap Dallas that the dish is the "main reason" he opened the restaurant, and that he's committed to doing the sweet and savory pork right. But he takes creative license with other tacos. His German father's and Cuban mother's roots show up in bratwurst and vaca frita (shredded brisket that is boiled and then fried to get a crispy crust) tacos. But he brings every dish back to Mexico with fresh housemade salsas.
