Chicken and waffles are very good.
Very uninviting atmosphere. I rank restaurants on the basis of 3=definitely will return, 2=maybe will return, 1=probably won't return, and 0=definitely won't return. This place got a 0! Suggestion for Groupon: Include a picture of inside and outside with the Groupon offer.
offer other cooking options beside FRIED, offer some green vegetables, even that useless iceberg lettuce instead of frying onion rings, potatoes or okra. the environment was cold and dark, not at all inviting.
get in touch with Robert Irvin who hosts "restaurant impossible" a reality show that "rescues" restaurants in two days - premierz absolutely could benefit by it-
while the waitress was pleasant, she was doing both jobs as front of the house and "chef" eventhough she said there was another person in the kitchen who was actually the cook (in-training?????)
the food was fair to poor - the place smelled like mildew or backed up sewer, there were holes in the wall, it looks as though they set up a "thrift shop" with used items in one area of the restaurant like a "yard sale" - I visited the restaurant that was previously in this space, mike & moes, and they were great when they first opened but went downhill fast and they didn't last - premierz is downhill immediately out of the gate
Love it, love it, love it. I will definitely be back.
I didn't really care for the taste of the food, it was extremely unseasoned. The portions are too small. But the waitress was very friendly.
Loved the food and the service--thank you!
The restaurant was older and appeared dirty. The food was great.
From Our Editors
Amid pans of sizzling catfish and pots of simmering collard greens, Premierz chefs whip up soul food and American classics. In the morning, they flip cheesy omelets and fry crispy strips of bacon. As the day wears on, the chefs turn their attention to tender salisbury steaks, pork chops, and meatloaf. The versatile chefs even offer a vegetarian menu, with meat-free sloppy joes, tacos, and burgers. As the chefs bustle about the kitchen, diners chatter at white-cloth tables in the bright dining room, sipping coffee and strawberry slushies.
