SMontero Surf Lessons, San Diego

As a mobile surfing instructor, Samuel Montero makes his classroom wherever his students meet the tide. Based out of Pacific Beach, Samuel travels to any beach between Ocean Beach and La Jolla, dispensing techniques for staying safe, stretching, and differentiating between surfable waves and those that are just the moon's practical jokes. Once they're able to stand on the board, students transition to board positioning and style while Samuel rounds out the instruction with tidbits on terminology and the history of the sport. Meanwhile, Samuel makes good use of his other gig as a professional water photographer as he takes photos and video of the students that can be easily shared on social media.
