In 60-minute classes, instructors take students from warm-ups and ballet-inspired stretches through cardio exercises and glute-sculpting ballet-barre work to develop dancer-like bodies. Using yoga and Pilates elements and with little or no equipment, barre classes focus on one specific muscle group at a time to improve core strength, posture, and alignment. Instructors suggest students wear long, yoga-style pants, a comfortable top, and socks to improve range of motion and keep idle muscles warm.

The team encourages students of all fitness levels through a specialized form of barre classes that focuses on strengthening the core while still working every muscle group. For advanced students who have competed 100 or more classes, they teach the exceptionally intense Centurions course, which promises to involve even more verbs.
