Matthew G At Salon DNA, San Francisco

From a look at his resume, one might think Matthew G moved to the Bay Area from Los Angeles because he was being mobbed by celebrities. During his 15-year tenure at The John Frieda Salon in L.A., he kept busy with the hair needs of big names including Britney Spears, David Hasselhoff, Roseanne Barr, and Teri Hatcher. (Before that, he put in time at renowned salons including Alexander du Paris in Paris and Prive Salon in New York.)

Now, as a stylist and colorist at Frank Dizon Salon, he specializes in making ordinary heads red-carpet-ready with on-trend treatments including hand-painted balayage color and Brazilian keratin smoothing.
