In 2003, John Berris weighed 210 pounds—not the healthiest weight for his 5’6” frame. Then, he discovered Brazilian jujitsu. In the years since, he has placed in numerous tournaments and whittled his physique to a lean, muscular 160 pounds. At G-Force Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he shares his passion for the sport as he guides small groups through classes, increasing students’ understanding of jujitsu technique while toning their muscles and burning calories.
