Excelencia Mexicana 2 Rest., Scarsdale

Founded in 2010 by brothers David and Ricardo Zavala, Excelencia Mexicana II is all about delivering authentic Mexican cuisine. Born and raised in Mexico City, the brothers know what makes a good taco or quesadilla, and combined with years of experience in the New York hospitality industry, they can deliver good service too.

• Ceviche de camarón: Fresh shrimp marinated in a lemon dressing, served with avocado, red onions, chopped tomatoes, arugula, and a balsamic reduction.

• Tacos el pastor: Three soft corn tortillas stuffed with grilled pineapple, marinated pork loin in adobo sauce, green onion, avocado sauce, and cilantro.

• Carnitas: Simmered pork cooked in the authentic Mexican style, served with tortillas, and green and red sauce.
