What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? A La Cart Art is hosted in a restaurant by artists in residence. We lead the participants through a painting using techniques to help you achieve satisfying results. Each step is demonstrated and questions [are] answered. We paint as a group, have fun, and meet new people in the ease of an inviting setting.

What is the experience customers can expect? _A Whole New Mind by Daniel Pink writes about our changing world and the kindling of the arts as a means to create an edge in their world. Our events create spontaneity in our lives where we are in the moment with our paint, canvas and a friendly setting. It nourishes our hearts and frees our mind. _

What was the inspiration to start or run this business? _I am the program director for a children's art program, Brainiac Arts. The foundation of the program is right-brain development. I knew from my own experience that art, like music, is taught. I learned painting, and drawing is a formula, a process to be practiced, the science of art. _

What do you love most about your job? I love painting with everyone and talking with people about a technique or composition; seeing the group engaged in activity together, the camaraderie that occurs; customizing the perfect party for someone; finding good subject matter to paint; the change in someone's attitude after painting.
