I’ve experienced first hand what it’s like to pay 29% interest rate on a car, go through bankruptcy, have a 419 credit score, and had to rebuild brick by brick my credit score to eventually reach a score of 740+. I can tell you now, that it was not easy. It took time, patience, and relearning financial literacy that I did not have growing up. The only financial conversations I remember growing up was when my parents got divorced. My mother had to depend on a “buy here pay here” dealership to get a car and get stuck with the highest interest rate and my father rarely used credit cards. Although the principle of only using the money we had in cash got us through my early childhood, it was time lost on leveraging a history of building credit.  

So why is building credit so important but yet a controversy on racking up debt through credit cards? Well, good thing you landed on my site. Many of the biggest financial goals like buying a house, car, or building a business require having a credit score of at least 650 or higher. Playing in this arena and achieving what we call the American dream also requires playing by the rules. Yes, it’s easier said than done and this is why I want I speak from experience so you don’t have to go through the painful mistakes I had to make early on.

Let me take you back to the hardest financial challenges I experienced that brought me to my biggest mission today; to empower you to reach a level of financial freedom through having excellent credit and achieving your biggest life goals.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always had the grit and hustle in obtaining financial freedom but one thing I did not know was how to build my credit, budget money, or invest it. At the end of the day, I had to face the challenge of not knowing where my money was going. I realized that I had a toxic relationship with money. I was going in circles recreating the same patterns that lead me to do some of the financial mistakes that got me in the deepest hole financially. I was taking 3 steps forward and 5 steps backward.

It wasn’t until I filed for bankruptcy that I turned my life around. I promised myself I would never end up in this situation again. Moreover, I promised myself that I would share my story so nobody ever has to go through what I went through ever again. So here I am, taking forth the mission of helping one powerful woman at a time. Not only to rebuild and strengthen their credit score but to help them become financially independent and apply these exact principles in all areas of their lives.
