Paella was rather bland. I was expecting a bigger wealth of flavors. The onion soup was quite good however.

If you ever do a promotion like this again...staff up towards the end....I understand 2 of your staff apparently called in sick but still you should have had additional about that. It took forever to get our food.

The service was horrible and downright rude, it ruined the night for me. I will not be going back and will not recommend the restaurant to my friends.

The bartender should really know the stock. He did not know his Spanish sherries; he thought I was talking about taquila. Thank goodness the maitre 'd did and brought me a glass.

Dulces is a classy restaurant in the Pike Place Market area. The menu is tantalizing with many unique dishes to choose from!

From Our Editors

In 1992, restaurant owner Carlos Kainz and chef Julie Guerrero first joined forces to open a tiny West Seattle bakery and café, a spot that quickly gained traction and outgrow its modest trappings. The duo packed up the winning operation and moved on to a larger space and a larger vision, renaming their venture Dulces Bistro & Wine and crafting an ambitious menu focusing entirely on Latin-fusion cuisine for dinner. Although Guerrero traces her family heritage back to Mexico, many of her dishes, including paella valenciana and boeuf bourguignon, show strong European influences. Unadulterated Latin staples pepper the menu, such as the green chicken enchiladas that serve as a staple in Mexico City and at Sam I Am’s Cinco de Mayo parties.
