What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Experienced software engineers and educators train kids in STEM / computer science & engineering through creative & fun game making in Scratch or Minecraft Redstone.
What is the experience customers can expect?
Full day camps with 8-1 student-teacher ratio. We engage kids and help them use their logic and creativity to become makers, not just consumers of software. Kids will have fun in either Scratch camp, where they make their own video games, or in Minecraft camp where they learn logic & engineering.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
There's a huge educational gap in our country. Schools aren't equipped to teach computer science outside of typing or learning particular programs. This isn't acceptable for our modern world where computers and information are ubiquitous. All kids need to understand logic & computational thinking.
What do you love most about your job?
I love seeing kids so excited about what they are learning that they keep at it after the camps. One of my favorite stories is when we had donuts that the kids were excited about grabbing during break. When I announced break time, none of them stopped coding. That says a lot about their engagement!
