The entrance is in the back of the building and not the front. There is plenty of parking and the staff is very friendly. Like any gym, JAM has lockers (if you bring your own lock pad) to store your things in and a seating area for guests.

The entrance is in the back through an alley. The setting is an old bank which makes it look super cool with open vaults used as locker rooms and storage. My kids took parkour clases and came out raving about the instructors/foam pit/trampoline.

For my 10 yr old, he absolutely loves the CMA class & instructor. For my 14 yr old, he thought the parkour class was too much. He felt dizzy on the warm up exercise in the beginning & didn't understand why they had to do the rolling. I imagine some rolling warm up is good since it's part of the movement in parkour. Since it's his first time, maybe it's good for him to be able to sit out when he felt dizzy. In my yoga class, the instructor always communicates to students that movement can be done in moderation if the student find it's too much. I'm wondering if if the parkour class is offered for different levels & my son should look for the beg level class. Overall, JAM is exceptiona!

Get there early. Otherwise they just throw you into the class & you're a little lost at first.

From Our Editors

You've probably seen the backs of the heads belonging to Aaron Toney, Jake Huang, and Travis Wong. They're professional stuntmen who have worked on blockbuster films such as Spiderman 3, Twilight: Breaking Dawn, and The Hangover 3. But their flair for mesmerizing movements and impossible stunts isn't just confined to Hollywood sets or Jack Nicholson's living room. The trio co-owns Joining All Movement Center, where they and their staff of coaches teach extreme classes such as parkour and tricking, a flashy combination of martial arts, breakdancing, and gymnastics, drawing on their experience from appearing on America's Got Talent and MTV's Ultimate Parkour Challenge.

Although many of the trickers' movements seem unreal, you can be assured that CGI isn't used. In its place is the facility's gravity-defying amenities such as ample floor space, including spring-loaded, rubber, and wooden surfaces; a trampoline that borders a 22-foot-long foam pit; and a 20'x35' inflatable AirTrick mat.
