HoopHall Dreams Camp, Springfield

The Hoop Hall Dreams Camp is a youth basketball camp for boys and girls ages 9-16 in official affiliation with the Basketball Hall of Fame. They give the kids a chance to experience the game of basketball in a safe, fun, and competitive environment. They also have run hundreds of tournaments, served thousands of teams and provided exposure and instruction for tens of thousands of players.

Their Skills Tour consists of a two-hour workout, broken out into three parts:

• Part One: Shooting: Players are encouraged to use the correct footwork when stepping into a shot whether off the catch or off the dribble. The goal is to reinforce the correct mechanics and fundamentals through this part of the clinic, while also providing simple instructions to improve on one's own.

• Part Two: Ball Handling: The first step to being a good ball handler is to have control of the ball at the fingertips. The ball handling session incorporates simple drills that improve a player's ability to maintain control of the ball. In addition to individual ball handling drills, players are put in "live"/competitive situations that reinforce the importance of these techniques.

• Part Three: Passing & Rebound: During this part of the clinic, players are exposed to passing and rebounding techniques that are basic and that can be applied during "game situations".

HoopHall Dreams Camp's main goal throughout the clinic is to provide players with simple, fundamental instructions that are easy to comprehend and apply in real situations.
