What is one of your signature services? How is it performed?

Break Leather pricing is pretty straightforward. We don't have beginner, intermediate, or advanced handgun classes. We don't have fancy boy classes taught by Mr. Superman, ex-seal, or super special forces guys. We offer real world, effective handgun defense classes, taught by real-world instructors with close quarters combat experience. We take out all of the flying doves, movie flips, spins, and slow motion explosives. Then, what's left is practical and tactical.

All classes come with a Certificate of Training and State of Florida Concealed Weapons Permit Application (if desired). You may be asking yourself, what is the difference in a Break Leather Certificate of Training and the "other guys" certificate? Simple. You get what you pay for.

It is very doubtful that a class that lasts less time than your favorite movie and requires you to shoot one single round out of the muzzle of a little .22 is going to equip you to be a trained and responsible armed citizen. You may spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on your weapon. Therefore, the training in use and operation of that weapon should be just as important, if not more.

A firearms instructor can go take an NRA "cookie cutter" course. Then within a few hours become a handgun instructor and start to teach.

Is that who you want training you?……Probably not.

Break Leather instructors are not "out of the box" firearm instructors. They have State of Florida "K" licenses, "DI" licenses, and are trained by the Law Enforcement Division of the National Rifle Association. Not to mention experience in modern law enforcement._

Sometimes it's all about the little things in life. What supplemental courtesies do you include with your main services to leave clients with a smile on their face?

Many students will go with one decision, and one decision only when choosing an instructor/school for their training or concealed permit.....low price. In life, the age-old saying of you get what you pay for is absolutely true. Many schools out there will give you out of the book training and have you shoot a 22 cal in a bucket of sand or worse even fire blanks. These places are all about quantity.

Break Leather is all about quality. We spend as much time with our students to build their confidence and comfort. We go to the range and use a realistic self-defense gun, and fire at least 20 rounds. We give you and assist you with the application, take your passport-sized photos, and notarize everything. Not to mention we encourage our students to contact us before mailing their applications out so we can assure all is correct and not add any further delay to the process.

When and how did you first develop a passion for your work?

Everyone here has decades of law enforcement experience. We bring experience to the table that a "cookie cutter" instructor just can't.......no matter how much they might like to.

Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?

We go above and beyond what's required by Florida. You need to learn things like dealing with police, lawyers, and courts as well as the everything else.
