Coach Rex Causey knows that most effective workouts begin with stretching the most important of all muscles: the mind. A lifelong learner, he constantly studies journals and articles to give him a better idea of how to match each of his clients with the proper fitness program. Part of this matching process is figuring out what, exactly, these clients want. Shortly after introducing himself, Rex will likely ask you a series of questions—do you want to lose weight? Reduce your stress? Improve your flexibility?
The answers to these questions determine a lot. If you're a baseball or soccer player, for example, Rex may recommend a sports-specific training program designed with your on-field position in mind. If your end goal is to touch your toes or lick the bottom of your foot, he'll likely recommend a self-myofascial-release class that teaches easy ways to improve flexibility and reduce muscle tension. To ensure that his clients have access to the best amenities around, Rex has joined the family of fitness professionals at Core Fitness, an expansive workout facility in The Woodlands.
