Go in expecting to feel like you're being thrown into the deep end. Its intense and you'll either hate it and leave or hate it while its happening and come back for more.

Very friendly people from the moment you walk in. There are all types of fitness levels and ages there. Don't be shy. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

The staff is very friendly. They make sure that you are at ease with every move and that you're not overloaded or overwhelmed in your first few workouts. It makes for a great transition back into a rigorous workout regime. Be honest with the trainers and listen to your body, is the best tip I can offer.

Equipment: Crossfit uses minimal equipment compared to a traditional big box gym. The equipment we use comes from many different styles of exercise. We will be using use weight bars, weights, kettlebells, boxes, and other top of the line functional equipment. We will show you how to use it all so there is no need to be intimidated by any new equipment.
Athletes should bring: A water bottle, fitness attire (comfortable and flexible), a towel (if needed). Appointment required: For initial classes only (first 3 fundamental classes)

Q&A With Crossfit Epiphany

How do you keep clients motivated to reach fitness goals: In order to keep our athletes motivated we rely on 3 things. Results, the community, and our atmosphere. We program our workouts to help you reach your fitness goals quickly and have a good time in the process. When you start to see those changes you’ve been wanting you will keep you coming back for more. Our community in the gym also helps motivate our athletes during each workout. As you get to know people that are on the same journey as you, you begin to want to work alongside them as you sweat together. Hard work is easier when done with friends. And finally we created the proper environment for workouts. We have everything you need including nutrition support and workout tracking.

Crossfit is simple, why not do it on my own? Well aside from being able to come in to our facility, look at the pre-programmed workout, get all the equipment you need, and do it alongside others that do it, we also provide personal instruction. One of the great things about Crossfit is that many of the movements can be done almost anywhere. It’s ‘functional’ fitness! But getting the proper training to do those movements is important. Here at CFE we really focus on correct technique in order to provide a safe and effective workout system. Proper instruction on each movement and proper loading on a beginner, especially the weighted movements, can help prevent injury and when movements are done properly they can provide better results. Out philosophy is technique first, speed second.

What can a member expect the first time? When you come in to CFE for the first time there is no need to be nervous. We provide you with all the information you will need to get started. There will be plenty of time to ask any questions you might have. We walk you through the entire process of what to expect on a day to day basis as a Crossfit athlete. We will go over what Crossfit is, how classes work, and how to integrate into the gym. We will go over a warm up and then break down our basic fundamental movements done in the gym. We also put you through a short evaluation workout using those movements in order to gauge your fitness level. This allows us to integrate you into the programming properly. Then we go over a short stretching session and send you on your way.
