This was my first time going on a tour bus and I must say it was fantastic! Our tour guide was Tyrone and he was very knowledgeable on the site/structures. He also added a humorous vibe to the whole exprience that made it much more lively and fun. Seating was great and was able to take lots of pictures. Definitely would reccomened to friends/family!

Would only allow 2 ztars when I wanted to give 1 star. Groupon stated we could bring voucher on phone but had to find a place to print out (1/2 hour ordeal) No handicapped accessability Screen on windows and blocked sight on other side of bus lower level Tour guide was non-American and openly stated biased non-capitalist/un-American ideologies (in DC, really?) Poor grasp of US history

Tour guide was amazing! She knew things about everything, and if she didn't know, she looked it up! Will definitely take another tour next time I'm there!

Awesome tour! Lots of information and great, friendly guide. Very entertaining. Well worth the groupon rate. Just wish we'd had more time at 3 stops.

The headphones were not working and it was hard to hear the guide. Instead of changing buses we had to stay on. We weren't offered a refund or anything.

It was a great way to see DC. However was extremely disappointed by the lack of guide provided. We were given headphones to listen to a live or prerecorded tour. There was no live tour. The prerecorded tour had minimal information and the majority of time was spent listening to prerecorded repetitive music. Content didn't match what we were seeing - misaligned. No AC on bus, we were dripping.

The check-in was lengthy, I believe the front desk had computer issues. The tour guy, Shawn, talked extensively about Starbucks coffee, since our tour was a night tour. He was helpful when we made stops, but only offered to take family photos at the MLK statue only, not at any other stops, why? He did mention he was only asked 10 questions to be trained for a tour guide and made light hearted references that he learned more from the passengers. I would hope DC tours would provide more detail instruction for their guides as well as shadow training that might better prepare the staff for the tour experience. My family really were very surprised at the 20 minute wait to load on the bus as well as getting the DC staff from their outside smoke breaks, untucked shirts, and very relaxed appearance and sometimes slang references we would hear while they boarded the bus.

From Our Editors

CitySights DC's signature double-decker bus tours of the United States's capital come which comes with hop-on, hop-off privileges—and there's plenty of reason to do both. Hopping on means informed narration in 11 languages, including Portuguese and German, and a break for tired feet. Hopping off is appealing too. It means leisurely exploration of some of the country's most important landmarks, such as the White House, Washington Monument, and Lincoln Memorial, whose beard grows if you stare at it long enough. Other tours cover similar terrain in different ways. On boat tours, passengers see the sites from the Potomac River, and on bike tours, they pedal themselves from locale to locale.
