Playa Bowls, Pequannock Township

Playa Bowls was born from founders and longtime surfers Robert Giuliani and Abby Taylor, who enjoyed post-surf acai and pitaya bowls in places like Costa Rica, Hawaii, and Panama. Inspired by these nutritious, energy-inducing dishes, Robert and Abby brought this idea back to the mainland, where Playa Bowls has grown from a single pop-up stand to several locations (and counting) since first established in 2014. In addition to their signature acai and pitaya bowls, Playa Bowls has branched out to include other tropical fruits like banana and coconut. And for those on the go, Playa Bowls also condenses their bowls into fresh juices and smoothies.
