I wanted to go to see Phantom, but the show was sold out. I decided on this and it was well worth it. No one was off limits, so If you are a liberal or conservative, you might not like it. The went to town on Trump, GW, Hillary, reality TV, commercials. Well worth the time to see.

I didn’t think of reading these reviews before buying tickets. I wish I had and made another choice. I thought that a show that was a satire of the news would be a funny, biting evening, but I was wrong. Despite some talented performers and a few inspired jokes and impressions, the material was more Gong Show than creative off-Broadway. The use of profanity seemed to be gratuitous and added little to the humor. Just not very funny. I started looking at my watch after 10 minutes.

Jokes were largely not funny. It was crass and I was embarrassed to be there with my teenage daughter. Saying that my wife and teenager enjoyed it. Maybe I was just irritated that I felt slightly unprepared/conned.. that the 3 of us represented 10% of the audience thinking I had paid to see a big glitzy show

Current events are a great source for humor and satire. Unfortunately, Newsical misses the mark with middle school humor and pointless jokes. The satire of Larry King was pretty good, but the remainder was insipid. This show does not have an intermission. I assume that is to keep patrons from walking out.
