Karen L. Kelleher didn't start in the wellness industry—in fact, she started out in technology. But when her close friend succumbed to breast cancer, Karen found a newfound passion in helping to educate others about cancer prevention and detection. Soon, she discovered the bridge between her passion and her career: thermography. Karen founded Boston Thermography Center to use this technology, which uses infrared imaging to create detailed digital photographs of the interiors of people's bodies, to help women detect abnormalities in their breasts. But she didn't stop there. Soon she found that thermography could be used to diagnose everything from plantar fasciitis to sinus infections.
